Michele Miller

Science Teacher

Ms. Miller is a native Washingtonian born and raised. She attended D.C. Public schools and transitioned to Maryland where she graduated from Bishop McNamara High School. Ms. Miller then decided to go away for college, where she attended an all girls H.B.C.U, Bennett College in Greensboro, N.C. There she studied and graduated with a B.S of Biology and dove deeply into developing her passion for science. During her matriculation at Bennett College, she began to work with the community to provide opportunities where youth at the local Boys and Girls club could explore the sciences.

She then went on to teach high school in the South Pacific in The Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, where her passion for teaching science ignited into a flame that caused her to spend 12 years in the D.M.V area teaching at various high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools.

Ms. Miller’s passion for science is to empower young people to be lifelong learners to help them uncover their personal journeys and understand that we all are significant players in this life, as we uncover our power in relationship to the natural world.

She is currently working on completing her Masters in International Education at The George Washington University. Where she looks forward to creating her own program where she can combine her love of science and travel. Until then, she is excited to share her passion for biology with the young women at Girls Global Academy.
