As a native of the DMV, Angel Strong-Archer has always been surrounded by an abundance of talent and creativity. She first found her love for music in her home church that grew exponentially after her first Classical concert experience. Ms. Strong-Archer has experience teaching 9th through 12th grade Music in DCPCS for Six years. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Arts Degree in Music from Morgan State University. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Strong-Archer serves as a mentor in music with the Urban Choral Arts Society, where scholarship and professional experience is offered. Her passion, in and out of the classroom, is to connect with young people on a creative level and to provide an outlet of musical expression where their voices are heard in the community as well as the classroom.
