Interview Questions
I hope to leave a legacy of fostering community and empowering women of color to love their authentic selves, embrace life’s challenges, and live life to its fullest! Life’s challenges are not meant to break us but to mold us into stronger, more compassionate beings. Through my own experience I have learned to see obstacles as ways to growth and transformation rather than barriers to our dreams. I would love to share my story on how focusing on my mental health and wellbeing has made me the person I am today. Moreover, I am passionate about being a mentor to young women. As a black woman in technology, I know that I have a responsibility to create spaces and opportunities for other women of color to pursue the careers they want and use technology as a tool for activism and liberation for underrepresented groups. I want to provide words of encouragement when it comes to navigating your professional journey and future career!
The person that inspires me the most is my grandmother! She was a woman who lived most of her adult like in the segregated south and whose spirit was truly a testament to strength in the face of adversity, and whose legacy continues to shape and empower me today. She was an educator, mother, caretaker, and pioneer in her community. Her resilience was indescribable!
