Maria Miller is a life-long learner who is passionate about exploring the world and helping others, particularly those who are less fortunate. She spent the early part of her career as both a corporate attorney. Fueled with a desire to have greater impact on the people she was serving, she transitioned to international development where she served as a private sector specialist at the International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. There, she worked with governments and the private sector in over 20 nations to improve the enabling environment for private sector investment that led to job creation and improved livelihoods for local citizens. She continues to consult in international development. Maria is a graduate of Spelman College and holds a law degree from the National Law Center at George Washington University.
