As a Dominican first-generation entrepreneur, I am deeply honored to share my story at this year’s Sisterhood Summit. The theme, “Our Stories, Our Legacies,” resonates profoundly with me, as it encapsulates the very essence of my journey and the legacy I hope to leave behind.

Growing up in a household where my parents worked tirelessly to provide for our family, I witnessed firsthand the sacrifices and resilience required to pave the way for future generations. Their unwavering determination instilled in me a profound appreciation for hard work and a burning desire to create something of my own – a legacy that would not only honor their struggles but also inspire others to pursue their dreams.

Embarking on an entrepreneurial path as a first-generation Dominican was not without its challenges. I encountered doubts, skepticism, and countless obstacles that threatened to derail my aspirations. However, it was the collective stories of perseverance and triumph from those who came before me that fueled my determination to persevere.

Through each setback, I drew strength from the narratives of resilient women who defied societal norms and paved the way for future generations. Their stories became beacons of hope, reminding me that our struggles are not in vain, but rather the foundation upon which we build our legacies.

Today, as I stand at the helm of my own successful venture, I am acutely aware of the profound responsibility I carry.
